14 Stores that Match Amazon Prices

If you’re like me and love to get everything on Amazon, but sometimes can’t wait for their shipping especially with today’s slower shipping times, you will love to know about the stores that match Amazon prices.

Most of these stores price-match in-store and online, but I think it’s most beneficial for products you can grab in the store right away rather than waiting for Amazon shipping. Don’t forget too, many stores price match even after you bought the product so don’t give up on those savings even after you bought something.

Here are the top 14 stores that will price match Amazon no questions asked.

1. Best Buy

Best Buy may be more convenient since you can swing through your local store to pick an item up rather than waiting, however, their prices are often higher than Amazon.

Fortunately, Best Buy matches Amazon prices. You can do it in-store or via phone if you’re ordering online:

  • In-store – Pull up the exact item on your phone on Amazon. Make sure the make, model, size, and even color match and show the cashier.
  • Over the phone – Call – 1-888-BEST BUY if you want to buy your product online and either have it shipped or you want to pick it up in-store. Give the associate the details of the item and exactly where you found it cheaper on Amazon to get the lower price.

2. JCPenney

JCPenney is so confident they have the best prices that they’ll price match Amazon prices on identical items with one big exception. They won’t price match any items sold by a third-party or marketplace on Amazon. The items must be shipped and sold by Amazon for JCPenney to price match them.

This is a great way to save money on clothing you need right away but know you can get cheaper on Amazon.

3. Academy Sports

Academy Sports will match Amazon prices on exact items only. But not only that, they will beat the price by 5%. Like most stores, Academy Sports won’t price match an item sold by a third party or in the Amazon marketplace. It must be sold and shipped by Amazon to get the 5% lower price.

It’s worth the extra steps to see if you can find the same product for a lower price because you’ll save another 5%!

4. Bed Bath & Beyond

Bed Bath & Beyond will price match Amazon prices on in-stock items sold by and shipped by Amazon. You can request a price match at Bed Bath & Beyond in one of two ways:

  • In-store – Provide the ad for the lower priced item on Amazon to the cashier before you check out.
  • Over the phone – Call 1-800-GO-BEYOND and talk to a customer service representative to get the lower price.

Note, if you have any coupons for Bed Bath & Beyond, it’s either the price match or the coupon – you cannot use both.

5. Joann Fabrics

Now you can get your crafting supplies cheaper and on-demand at your local Joann Fabrics because they match Amazon prices. Everything about the item must be identical; it must be in stock on Amazon, and an associate must be able to verify the deal.

You can get the deal in-store by talking to a cashier or online by calling 330-735-6576 or emailing [email protected]

You can also get the lower price if you recently purchased something at Joann Fabrics and find it cheaper on Amazon. The time frame varies by store, but typically 14 days is the limit.

6. Target

Everyone loves their Target runs, but when you can find a lower price on Amazon, it takes the fun out of it! Fortunately, Target has a great price match policy. They’ll guarantee their low prices for 14 days after your purchase.

If you happen to see the item cheaper on Amazon before you buy it, just take the information to Guest Services or any cashier and they’ll price match for you. If you already bought the item, you can bring your receipt back to Target or call Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869 to get your price adjusted.

7. Lowe’s

Lowe’s will price match Amazon, but only items sold and shipped by Amazon. They won’t price match any items sold by a third party or on the marketplace. As long as an associate can verify the price, that the item is identical and in stock, Lowe’s will match the price.

8. Dick’s Sporting Goods

Dick’s Sporting Goods will price match Amazon if the exact item is in stock and immediately available for shipping. You can price match in a store by bringing the ad to any store associate or you can price match online by calling 1-877-846-9997 when you’re ready to check out.

9. Nordstrom

Nordstrom mostly price matches Amazon, but they are strict about which products they will price match. Like most stores, they will only price match items that are sold by the seller themselves. For example, if you’re buying something from Free People, Nordstrom would only price match the item on Amazon if it’s sold by Free People on Amazon.

Nordstrom does give you 14 days to get a price match guarantee, which is nice, though. If you find the item for less money up to 14 days after purchasing it, you can bring your receipt and the ad back for a refund.

10. Dell

If you find your computer, software, or accessories for a lower price on Amazon, Dell will price match them if they are an exact match. Dell will price match before or after you buy a product for up to 30 days. You can get the price match over the phone at 1-888-969-4503 or via Dell’s chat tool

11. Office Depot

Now you can get your office supplies at the lowest prices and on the same day with Office Depot. They match Amazon prices in-store and online both before the purchase or up to 14 days afterward.

Items must be in-stock and identical to the items sold at Office Depot to get the price match.

12. Michaels

Michaels price matches Amazon prices on identical products in size, weight, color, and model number. The products must be in stock and verifiable by a Michaels associate either in-store or over the phone.

What’s even better is Michaels will beat Amazon’s price by 10% if you find a lower price, however, they won’t stack any Michael’s coupons on top of the deal.

13. Staples

Staples will price-match any lower prices found on identical prices on Amazon in-store. The item must be available for immediate shipping and not sold in the marketplace or by a third party. If you find a lower price on Amazon, Staples will beat the price by 10%, but this is an in-store offer only – you can’t match prices online.

14. Golf Galaxy

Golf Galaxy will match Amazon prices on exact products (they are strict about this). The products must be in stock and they cannot be sold by a third party or in the marketplace. Golf Galaxy does have some exceptions to their price match policy during certain sales, such as Black Friday or Cyber Week.

You can match the price in-store or online. To match a price online call customer service at 1-800-287-9060.

FAQs – Stores that Match Amazon Prices

Does Walmart price match Amazon?

Walmart is one store that won’t price match Amazon. You may be able to get customer service to match a price over the phone, but in-store, they will not price match Amazon. If you talk to a manager, you may get lucky, but most stores won’t do it.

What stores have the best price match policy?

Most stores have a great price match policy, but I like the stores that will not only match a price but beat it by 10% or so. Academy Sports and Michael’s are two great examples of this. I also think the stores that will price match an item for up to 14 – 30 days after you purchase it offers the best deals too.

Does Amazon price match?

It would be great if price matching worked in reverse, right? Unfortunately, Amazon doesn’t price match. Instead, they monitor prices constantly and change their pricing sometimes multiple times a day. If you have your eye on something but it’s a bit too costly, check back in the next few days – you may see that the price drops.

Does Costco price match?

Costco prides itself on its already low prices so they do not price match. They do, however, have a great return policy allowing members to return just about anything for up to one year after purchasing it.

It never hurts to ask a store if they will price match. The stores listed above are the most common stores that price match Amazon, but stores are constantly changing their policies, so always ask.

Even if they won’t price match, you never know when a manager may give you a small discount to make up the difference. It never hurts to ask!
